REACH
'The Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical Substances.'
The initial Pre-registration period for registering your company's importation and distribution of chemical substances ended on 1 December 2008.
Any individual, or business responsible for placing more than one tonne (1000kg) of a chemical substance on the EU market per year (average over three years) is required to register those substances with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
With so much (ever-changing) guidance available through the ECHA web site, Equitoy does not intend to include detailed information here.
Substance of Very High Concern - SVHC
ECHA has published a list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). The use of any of these substances requires special authorisation from ECHA. Equitoy recommends that members ensure that no SVHC are used in any of their products.

Further information is available from Clive Shelton or directly from the ECHA web site.
